I  might  add  that  when  I  saw  Globke  last  night  he  was  taking  the  line  that  the  time
would  very  shortly  come  when  the  Chancellor  would  have  to  tell  the  FDP  Ministers
that  they  must  either  accept  the  Saar  Agreement  or  leave  the  Government.  The
present  state  of  affairs  could  not  be  allowed  to  continue  much  longer.
